Nitor has signed the Global Compact initiative by the United Nations. In accordance to the initiative, Nitor commits itself to the ten universal principles of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption.

Advancing sustainable development is an important corporate responsibility goal for Nitor. Thus, joining Global Compact is a natural value judgement.

By signing the UN initiative, we want to set an example for other companies about committing to sustainable business. Digital transformation creates new challenges for sustainable development. This means that also digital development must be sustainable,” says Nitor's CEO Matti Vilmi.

Global Compact was launched in the year 2000 by Kofi Annan, the former General Secretary of the United Nations. Signed by more than 9,000 enterprises in nearly 170 countries, it is the world's largest corporate responsibility initiative. From Finland, 65 organizations have joined it.
