Sep 25, 2015, 3:30 PM

Digital engineering company Nitor has appointed Rami Sirkiä as new lead of agile consulting. Sirkiä, the CEO of Nitor Delta, is an expert in economics with solid experience in R&D. He will be in charge of the operational and sales management as well as business development of Nitor Delta.

For the past year, Rami Sirkiä has been working as an independent consultant cooperating closely with Nitor Delta. He has provided Nitor’s clients with significant value especially in making financial operations more agile. Before this Sirkiä has worked, for example, in Nokia’s Finance & Control business unit and in the R&D of Nokia Mobile Phones.

”Rami is a familiar face to anyone working in the field of agile development and he is a frequent speaker in events dealing with agility in budgeting. He will bring an important and sought-after extra drive to Nitor’s digital engineers with his expertise in economics”, says Matti Vilmi, CEO of Nitor.

In his previous role in Nokia Mobile Phones, Rami Sirkiä was closely involved in transferring the budgeting and financial planning towards agile methods. This resulted in remarkable savings and more free time that is essential in research and development.

”Digitalization puts more and more emphasis on the role of software development in almost every organization. R&D is already managed in an agile way which makes it necessary for the upper level management and budgeting to change, too. Holistic agility is the future”, says Rami Sirkiä.

Prior to his career in Nokia Sirkiä has worked in business consulting in KPMG. He is M. Sc in Accounting and Finances.
