CSC – IT Center for Science Ltd has chosen Nitor as a provider for IT consultancy services. The companies entered into a general agreement after a public tender by CSC.

Nitor and CSC’s general agreement covers IT definition and architecture services, as well as IT development services. The agreement entered into force in late 2014. The period of the agreement is from 2015 to 2017, with a two years’ extension option until 2019.

In addition to CSC, several educational institutions and universities are entailed in the general agreement, including HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences, Turku University of Applied Sciences, University of Lapland, Lappeenranta University of Technology, Karelia University of Applied Sciences, University of Jyväskylä, and Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.

”Success in CSC’s tender opens up new possibilities in education space for us. This is definitively a great continuation for last year, when we won Aalto University’s agile software development tender,” says Nitor’s CEO Matti Vilmi.

Nitor has a strong role in developing Finnish education. The company’s most significant ongoing client project in the education space is the modernization of student affairs information systems in big universities.

In the modernization project, Nitor renews all services needed by students, professors, and other university staff. The project’s aim is to create an easy and intuitive tool for e.g. study plans, course enrollments, evaluations, and maintaining student records.
