April 27, 2026 · 1 min read timeNitor joins the Good Work Forum partners in promoting good work, launching on May Day week. The Forum's goal is to foster more positive discourse around working life and to research, develop and share sustainable work practices in Finland.
"We want to be part of promoting good work. From the very beginning, Nitor has been built on the idea that high expertise work and personal life can coexist in harmony. This isn't a given in today's rapidly changing environment where Nitoreans work every day. That's why we continuously develop ways to support recovery and wellbeing. Good work happens when people have the ability to influence their own work, grow professionally, and do their work in an environment where asking for help is safe, and where it's okay to speak up when the workload becomes too heavy," says Jens Krogell, CEO of Nitor.
The Forum launches with a joint May Day campaign celebrating good Finnish working life. You can learn more about the Good Work Forum and the Good Work Declaration here in Finnish: www.hyvaatyota.fi
The Forum already brings together a strong group of leading Finnish working life organisations: Varma, If, Terveystalo, Staffpoint, LAB, Taloustutkimus, Innovation Home, Educo, Nitor, Validia, Grape People, HR Kollektiivi, The Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce, City of Turku, Renta, The Bank of Finland, Financial Supervisory Authority and Coxa.
"It's great to see how we've already gathered such a wide and significant group of Finnish working life actors behind the cause of good work. There's still room for more actors," say the Good Work Forum's driving forces, organisational psychologists Jaakko Sahimaa and Sami Råman.
The Good Work Forum draws its strength from findings in sustainable work and Positive Organizational Scholarship research, which focuses on building sustainable work that can be healthy, safe, and productive.
